Do you consider Hawaii part of the United States?

I saw a guy wearing a shirt that said "United States of America" then a picture the 48 contiguous states then "Hawaii" underneath but no picture of Hawaii. I asked him why it didn't have a picture of Hawaii and he said, " I don't know, it was a gimme."

  1. Yes, I definetely consider Hawaii a state. If Hawaii wasnt part of the U.S, then we would only have 49 states. Hawaii is totally and definetely a state. The shirt said hawaii on it, it just didnt have a picture, so just because they didnt have a pic. on it doesnt mean its not a state! Hope my answer helps!
  2. Hawaii and Florida belong to Spain-they are territories occupied by the US.
  3. Officially it is, but if you ever go there it seems like a foreign country, so I wouldn't consider it part of the US.
  4. Yes because it is.
  5. Yep… it's state #50…. Don't care what some t-shirt dude says.
  6. Of course.
  7. The last time I counted, we have 50 states. And Puerto Rico.
  8. Yes I do. Just because a state is not connected doesnt mean it shouldn't be "connected".
  9. No, it is the only state in which pacific islanders are the majority, the natives often complain about wanting their old monarchy back
