Do you consider Hawaii part of the United States?
I saw a guy wearing a shirt that said "United States of America" then a picture the 48 contiguous states then "Hawaii" underneath but no picture of Hawaii. I asked him why it didn't have a picture of Hawaii and he said, " I don't know, it was a gimme."
- Yes, I definetely consider Hawaii a state. If Hawaii wasnt part of the U.S, then we would only have 49 states. Hawaii is totally and definetely a state. The shirt said hawaii on it, it just didnt have a picture, so just because they didnt have a pic. on it doesnt mean its not a state! Hope my answer helps!
- Hawaii and Florida belong to Spain-they are territories occupied by the US.
- Officially it is, but if you ever go there it seems like a foreign country, so I wouldn't consider it part of the US.
- Yes because it is.
- Yep… it's state #50…. Don't care what some t-shirt dude says.
- Of course.
- The last time I counted, we have 50 states. And Puerto Rico.
- Yes I do. Just because a state is not connected doesnt mean it shouldn't be "connected".
- No, it is the only state in which pacific islanders are the majority, the natives often complain about wanting their old monarchy back
