Exactly what does the rank insignia patch for a tech 4 in the army around 1976 look like?

My father served in the army in Hawai'I around 1976. He fixed helicopters with the the 25th division (the electric strawberries).

  1. I'm looking for not only the rank, but all the rest of the patches my father might have worn on his uniform and thier exact locations on his uniform. I want to get copies of all these patches and place them on my coat as an honor to my father.
  2. He's dying of cancer, and I can't get the same answers from him twice. He's hidden his uniform somewhere and no one can find it. Ans there are no pictures of him in uniform that go below his shoulders.
  3. The only patch I have so far is the "electric strawberry" one. The one shaped like a taro leaf with the lightning bolt on it.
  4. Tell your father I said thank you for his service!

Your local Veterans administration can point you in the right direction to get military service records.

let me know what else you need to know

  6. Someone told me there was a web site that I could get his full service record from. Does anyone know the URL?
