2. Well, Hawaii (huh-vye-ee) or (huh-wye-ee) is not much different from the maindland actually… it may seem so in the touristy towns, such as waikiki (wye-kee-kee), but not else where. There are a few differnces such as climate, animals, plants, incests, and speaking dialect/way of life.

   The climate here in hawaii is almost the same all year around. It rains much more often in Hawaii than it does in the main land. In the winter, a week without rain is rare, and in the summer, it rains every few weeks. The temperature is usually from 70 degrees farenheit-85 degrees farenheit. Rarely give or take a degrees or 2. In hawaii, it snows only a few places. Up in the mountains Mauna Kea (mao-nuh-kay-uh), Mauna Loa (mao-nuh-low-uh), and Haleakala(hah-lay-ah-kah-lah). The raniest place in the world is also in Hawaii, it is caled Mount Waialeale (vye-ah-lay-ah-lay), and is on the island of Kaua'I (kuh-wah-ee).

   The animals loose in hawaii are very different than those in the mainland. There are no squrells and chipmunks roaming around in hawaii. But we do have ducks, thousands of different fish/crabs/etc., wallabies, many different birds, mice, rats, mongooses, frogs, toads, pigs/boars, and deer. The incects are many, including, butterflies, chameleons, geckos, ands, bees, cockaroaches, spiders,african tree snails etc.

   The plants are as unique as the animals and icest here in hawaii. Weh ave may includind palm trees (eureka, samoan coconut), bushes shrubs trees, everything you'd fing in the m,ain land, plus cotton trees, pineapple plants, banana trees, palms, tropical flowers and fruit such as the bird of paradise, many colors or hibiscus, plumeria, noni, mountain apple, etc. We do not have cherry, apple, and poisun ivy..

   In hawaii, we have many other things from the maindland, but guess what? Nothing is 100% indiginous to hawaii, except some scientist belive, the mountain apple. The native hawaiians are actually we think from samoa tahiti or from new zeland because the hawaiian islands were created fairly new. we have things "hawaiian" brought over from other lands. The pigs, dogs, sugarcane, coconuts, their all from the other islands of that the people came from.

   The dialect and culture in ahwaii is not really hawaiian but "local" instead. the local came from the filipinos, chinese, japanese, potuguese, norwegian, korean, etc that came from their countries to hawaii to work in the sugar plantations a hundred years ago. for example. the yoyo from filipinos, bentos and furos from ajpan, pan dolce and malasadas from paortugal, etc.

ok so ill be goin to honolulu 4 spring break with family what is fun to do?

1. Pearl Harbor, swimming with the dolphins, parasailing, snorkeling, going to a luau, the hotel should give you a list of activities. Do as much as you can.
2. There is so much fun stuff to do here in Hawaii! I would definitely try snorkling or surfing, there are so many cool shops to do some shopping in. I guess I would need to know which Island you are going to to tell you exactly what to do and what to see… But have a great time. I live here there is always stuff to do.
3. Drink, go clubbing, drink, go to the beach, drink, go to the north shore, drink, hike the diamond head crater, drink, soak up some sun, drink, go on the submarine, drink, go to pearl harbor and see the USS Arizona and USS Missouri, drink . . . oh and drink.

   The Mai Tais there are excellent. I'm wishing I were you. Have fun.

5. stay away from the stupid tourist traps, don't go to haunama bay, or if you do, go VERY early before the water turns murky with dead skin. hiking is cool, because the island has some pretty impressive valleys and trails.

   don't forget to visit north shore, thats typically the better beaches. but don't leave your valuables in the car, on your person, or in your hotel room, or they will get stolen.

When we went to Hawaii we went to the punch Bowl flea market we had a blast and this was a whole day event, lots to see, we also did the pearl harbor cruise, saw where Gilligan's island was filmed, Hawaii five O, went to a laui, and on a dinner cruise. We also walked the beach. There is alot to do, depending on what you like. Have fun and enjoy.
7. I just went to Honolulu for thanksgiving and it was a blast. Their is a cultural center, swimming with the dolphins, dinner cruises, dinner shows, luau, and of course the beach etc.. I went to Waikiki Beach and it was a blast. Love it and can't wait to go back. Have fun.

9. hmmmm….depends on what you like to do and where you're staying….waikiki is cool at night to party and stuff…in the day if you like surfing you can drive up to the north shore recently we had a freakin huge swell…pretty cool…you can spend time in haleiwa town while you're up there…even though its a historical landmark pearl harbor is freakin boring im sorry im not into museums…shoppings okay in waikiki and ala moana mall…pretty high class for oahu…but dont go to south shore beaches…they suck…check leeward side for nice beaches like nanakuli and makaha (my 2 faves)…I dunno just come and discover for yourself

I need some suggestions and ideas on what to do on a Hawaiian vacation, where to go, best beaches, sites to see…. let me learn from your trip! be as detailed as possible, and thanks in advance!

1. I would definitely recommend Kauai if have the time. It's one of the most natural laid back islands in Hawaii. Because it's the oldest, it has a lot of fine sandy beaches and on most of them, you will be all alone to enjoy it. If you like activities, try hiking the Napali coast. It's difficult, a little dangerous, and it leads to a secluded beach and waterfall that you can only reach by foot. On the west side of the island, there's Waimea canyon which is almost like seeing the grand canyon. What a diverse island! However, if you are looking for more of a party scene, you would probably wanna do Waikiki. They've got the best night life in Hawaii. You can hike up Diamond Head, check out a luau. (I'll warn you, poi (gray pasty food) is nasty). Enjoy your trip!
2. im in oahu, hawai`I right now. if u like shopping, go to ala maona shopping center (I work there hah) or waikele premium outlets. theres also kahala mall and such. beaches? for a tourist I would recommend waikiki and if ur just planning to look and not invade…try north shore haha. waimea bay is awesome and pearl harbor is nice if u like historical things. polynesian cultural center is cool if u like culturistic things. check up on waterfalls, they can be awesome.

   if ur looking for things to do, I suggest, snorkeling in caves (with awesome fishes), scuba diving (if u know how), surfing (my favorite), boardsailing/windsurfing (another favorite), and pretty much just any water sport. thats wats fun about hawai`I. the constant beauty and the water.
