- Aloha, The correct way to pronounce Hawaii is ha-va-e. The "w" is pronounced as a "v".

- I had to take hawaiian language in my school and live in hawaii. Hawaii is actually supposed to be written Hawai'I. It's pronounced ha-vi-ee. The apostrophe is called an okina which breaks the two vowels. By the way, I'm writing this the day of the earthquake. It was pretty crazy and I just got my electricity back on.
