I need some help. I want to travel to Hawaii alone. Im a 24 yr. old male. I plan on staying in a hostel for 14 nights. I have several questions: Is Hawaii fun by yourself? Is there plenty to do to keep busy at night (I'll be learning to surf during the day)? How is the "hostel experience"? Is it a good/bad way to meet people? Any and all input is greatly appreciated!

1. Traveling solo is always a good thing. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want!

   No matter where you are, it's only as fun as you make it!

2. Now, I don't know about the hostel experience, but my brother in law came with us once, but he was on his own and "did his thing" He was by himself most of the time that he was there, and he really enjoyed himself!
   Just put a big smile on your face, and the people will make you feel welcome!!!
   Enjoy relax and have fun!! There is plenty to do all of the time when you are in Hawaii!! Don't worry, it is an awesome place, been there and done that six times!!

4. Staying in a hostel is a good way to know people if you don't mind sharing the bathroom with strangers and have less privacy. I really suggest a "not too affordable" hostel because you don't want roaches among you.
   You are very very lucky that you can stay in Hawaii for 2 weeks. There are so much to do there and people are very friendly. It's very easy to meet people anywhere. Do not only learn surfing, try kayaking at Kailua beach too.
   Have fun! I really envy you!
5. If your a very sociable person than you will have no problem meeting people. I feel Hawaii has the nicest people in the world. Everyone is very friendly!! For night life, you cannot go wrong with our club scene. My personal favorites include Pipeline Cafe, Zanzabar, and Oceans. Also, staying in Waikiki, your bound to meet people from all over the world who are down to party. An important tip: do not go to Kalihi, Waianae, or Makaha at night time. It is very dangerous! By the way, the women here are gorgeous. I gurantee, you will enjoy yourself!
