Trip to Hawaii?

When is the best time to visit hawaii?

  1. About how much durring this time?
  2. End of April or December seem to be really nice. 10 days makes for a nice vacation
  3. Anytime of the year is great, You should concern yourself with staying away from the tourist areas and away from the traffic…have a great trip!
  4. All of the above.. plus if you come over in the winter time that is our whale season, they are awesome to watch

    Aloha

  5. One of the best things about the tropics is that the temperature never varies greatly from season to season. Also, daylight is always between 11 and 13 hours per day.

If you are traveling on a budget, May to August is cheaper, due to it being summer for the mainland.

November and December are the wet months, so plan accordingly. If you are planning on going to Kauai to see waterfalls, this is the perfect time.

The whales arrive in Hawaii the end of December and stick around til the beginning of March so if you want to see them, this is the perfect time.

The bottom line is that the perfect time depends on what you want to do and see. The nights are always cool and the days are always sunny with a touch of liquid sunshine from time to time.

Determine what you want to do and plan your trip around these activities.

    Aloha.

  6. Early May at least 8 days or longer!!
  7. Any time of the year is great, but the holidays are a treat!
  8. April is a great month to visit since most people stick close to home when the weather is nice in their hometowns and we're not so crowded.

How much? As many nights as you can afford…..

  9. I went during middle august…..it was just perfect!

    stay for 6-7 days!

Trip to Hawaii?

I've never been to hawaii…Taking vacation and I want to go…

  1. Where can I check out bargains/packets. Going with the family. What are the best times to go? Summer VS Winter
  2. Any time is a good time to go to Hawaii. Check out travelzoo and other travel web sites for deals. Sometimes there are really good deals from LAX to Hawaii and you'll end up saving money by flying to LAX and then taking a package deal from LAX.

Do a little research into the island(s) that you want to visit. I love Maui and didn't care so much for Oahu (Honolulu and Waikiki). My husband and I will go to the Big Island and Maui the next time we go.

  3. Check out Pleasant Holidays.
  4. go to Expedia.com, Hawaii.com (for info about the islands). I have been there in May four times, and once in April. But right now, expedia is having some great deals (Pacific Beach Hotel has their buffet breakfasts included right now, if you get a partial oceanview room).
  5. Expedia.com has some good fares now to the islands. Yahoo Travel, Trevelocity.com, aa.com and other websites provide vacations to Hawaii. The best time to go is the off-season-Oct, Nov., or Jan-May. The summer months and December are high-season. My family prefers Kuaui and Maui as vacation destinations, but the Big Island of Hawaii is unforgetable-watching land made by the volcanic eruptions is an unforgetable experience. You can check out bargain packets on the above websites. You can pay a little for two stars motels to a lot for world calss five-star accommodations. Hawaii is a premier vacation destination and I hope you and your family have a good time.
  6. 2nd wk. in Dec. until Easter most expensive, airfare, hotels, & some other things, less kids. 2nd wk. in Jun.until end of Aug. Almost just as expensive & tons of kids. If you can avoid these times, significantly cheaper. Don't flt on the weekemds, fly in the middle of the week, cheaper! My Mom (here on Oahu) & relatives (in San Jose & LA) all use travel agents & get package deals, this is cheaper, they travel 2-3X/yr. for the last 30 yrs. Aloha Stadium & Kam Drive In Swap Meet (flea market always good deals, Sat. Sun, Wed.) Aloha& Have Fun! "Robert's" of Hawaii is who we use for Interisland packages, my Mom uses "Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays", or just "Hawaiian Holidays."

  9. There is no bad time to go. The weather varies about 5 degrees from cold to hot — so there is no difference — it is always nice.

It does rain in some psots of Hawaii — everyday. Be prepared for that or avoid those places.

www.hawaii.com is a very good all-inclusive site on each of the islands.

I've been to almost all of the islands — several times. My favorite is the Big Island (the island of Hawaii). It is so varied — with the hot dry Kona and Kohala coast to the northern almost chilly area. To the south is lush vegetation and to the west is Hilo (with its constant rain and the erupting volcano).

You cannot go wrong — although I feel like Oahu is too commercialized and Honolulu is just like another big city.

If you're going to go to Hawaii — experience the best — which means going to one of the other islands as well.

  10. In Hawaii you can enjoy the beaches.

  11. My recommendation is Kauai's North shore. Scour the net for good deals. We loved the Hanalei Colony Resort in Haena, Kauai impressions below). Our deal was around 600 for seven nights in February. Cool!
  12. Hawaii is pretty expensive year round….but if you want to see the whales, go between November and March
