What are some cheap things my son and I can do in Hawai'I (Oahu).?
He is four years old. Besides going to the beach, and zoo. We will be close to Pearl Harbor and Kapolei.
- On the North Shore, visit Waimea Valley. This is a place straight out of heaven. It is a bird sanctuary w/a paved path up to the waterfall & pool. There is a nominal fee. Have a shave ice at Matsumoto's in Haleiwa. Visit the Dole Pineapple Plantation & ride the little train. Tour the Royal Palace in Honolulu.
- there's the big flea market in town,take a tour of the island most stop at the Dole's pineapple farm

- go to Pikkets, ask for John, and tell him you're on a budget… he'll sort you out nice. He's got the coolest things
- Go to the punch bowl. Go to the Arizona memorial. Visit the capitol building. Climb Diamond Head. Go to Hanauma Bay where you can wade or snorkel. Visit the shopping areas. Watch the surfers on the northern beaches. Visit the pineapples. So much to do and so little time. If you have the funds, visit the Polynesian Cultural Center.
