Why are CO2 Levels in Hawaii Higher in September than April?

Annual Carbon Dioxide levels in Hawaii are higher in months surrounding September than in April. Why would that be? In places with more defined Summer/Winter months, photosythesis would be responsible… could that still be the case with Hawaii?

  1. Hawaii is in the equator and is where the air from the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere meet. Since most trees are located in the Northern Hemisphere and summer is when trees are most active, carbon dioxide is less during April than in the September.
  2. Photosynthesis is why we don't have people dieing from CO2. It is all over the US and is not a pollutant as mother nature take care of the CO2.
