Since we can talk about ANY topic on R&S………………..?

I would like to know your FAVORITE vacation spot. Why do you like it so well? How often have your been?

  1. My favorite place in the world (so far) is Hawaii. I especially like Kauai as it is quiet, relaxed and the speed zone rarely gets over 45 mph. I have been to Kauai once (going back in April), to Maui 3 times, Oahu 4 times :)
  2. I actually really liked Vegas. Although London was fun too.
  3. Daytona, Florida

My daughter was born in Orlando, Fl

I lived in Daytona for many years

Just came back it is really nice I have a lot of memories and family in-laws and a daughter

The ocean is 22 miles long and you can drive on it in a car

I just love it, also it is not a big place, just right

  4. I stayed on Oahu for 3 months back in the 80's and it was beautiful……but I am not a tropical person….I prefer Upstate New York….I was born there and now live in the South so it is a real treat for me to be near the Lakes…..fyi Tn only has 1 natural lake and it is W TN. I especially love to be on Lake Champlain. It is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have ever been and it has been 8 years since I was there last and hopefully next summer we can take a trip up there…..It is only 65 miles from Montreal and I love to go to that city for the day….so much to see and do.
    Peace be with you.
  5. I am going to agree with Utuk. My wife is a Pacific Islander. When we had our son we came back to CONUS (Continental United States) for what we thought would be better schools, etc. Turns out we left the best behind. We were in Hawaii and FSM last year for vacation. We hope to return there for good one day.
  6. My favorite place is Ecuador. My spouse and I go bird watching there. Its amazingly beautiful and in the Andes the weather is perpetual spring. There are over 1,500 species of birds there. On my first trip I saw over 50 species of hummingbirds alone, including this beauty:

  7. I've never been to Hawaii, but I've always wanted to go. Boston was nice, and I really like Toronto and Montreal.
  8. Must be nice to visit such a place like hawaii more than once in your life. you must be very well off.
  9. I lived in Honolulu for four years - I never should have returned to the mainland.
  10. Well, I can't really call Hawaii a VACATION spot ;-) but it is pretty great.

We went once on a cruise to the Bahamas (before the kids), and I'd have to say anything on a cruise ship would be my favorite at this point….Can't wait til the kids are older and we can do it again.

Other than that, we've been to Vegas more times than I can count. What can I say? Where else you gonna go when you live in Hawaii already? Besides they bend over backwards for "local" people over there.

  11. Lake of the Woods on the Ontario-Minnesota border.

A place where earth, sky and water meet in perfect and peaceful harmony. A thousand islands of emerald green set in blue "laughing waters."

    A few fish there, too.

  12. Reykjavik, Iceland. It's a really cool city. I loved it there!
  13. Hawaii is my favorite place also. I was born and lived on Oahu until I was 9.
