1. I looked into renting a yurt. It sounds great, but I avoided it because of the location. Yurts are semi-permanent tent-like structures, which could mean anyone with a bit of land can put it up, plug in the electricity and viola, a room to rent and extra income for the owner.

   The yurt would be placed on bare land with no natural beauty or plant life to appreciate around it, with little privacy and it can be placed right next to a very undesireable place, like next to a busy road with traffic noise. I examined the pictures and focused on the areas around the yurts offered for rent and decided that it would be a very bad idea to risk my vacation and a bad value for the money ($95 per night).
