I am finally going to visit the beautiful island of Kauai — but I haven't any idea what to pack. Would someone give me an idea of what to pack. Should I leave my heels at home?

1. please don't answer with stupid things like "clothes"
2. oooo my favorite of the islands. Theres great snorkling there so you might want to pack your own goggles and snorkle so you dont have to rent them. dont really need the fins unless you want. Sunscreen! maybe an underwater camera too! They also have all those great waterfalls sooooo nice hiking shoes to get to them…a hat. it might rain too but it'll still be warm sooo you dont really need rain gear.
   oh I almost forgot ME!!!!!!!!!!
3. It depends on what you plan to do. If you are going to be on the east side of the island it may rain a bit while you are there, so pack rain gear. If you plan on taking a helicopter ride or hiking up the mountains take warmer clothes. The west side will be dry and hot, so normal summer clothes will be fine.

   Kauai is pretty casual, so heels are probably not necessary. You also have the risk of getting red dirt on them and getting stained. I got by with shorts, some nice shirts and black sandals. If you are staying at a chi-chi resort, you may want to bring something nice for dinner.
