We love our tropical vacations. So far we've been to Maui and Kauai, but now I want to figure something else for us. Where's a good place, and if you know of a good hotel that would be useful too.

1. St Thomas would be a good contrast from Maui and Kauai. The Ritz Carlton is amazing, but the Marriott there is really great as well. Diving and sailing are top diversions, but it's all about the water. Bluebeard's Castle is a great romantic spot on a hill for dinner. The jewelry shopping is the best in the carribean - amazing deals on Rolex watches, gold, etc. Go check out St. John for a day while you're there.
2. Aruba, La Cabana Resort!!!
3. Went there with my wife a year ago for anniversary.
4. Barbados. I had been to a lot of places and then I went to Barbados and I was so happy there I kept going back. The people are wonderful.

   Look for the Bresmay Hotel. It is not fancy but it is right on the beach - a lovely beach in Christ Church at St. Lawrence Gap.
