1. no, it isn't walking distance. they had bus transportation for us to visit the maui ocean center. it really wasn't worth it for me. it seemed really small to me and commercial. I would spend my time doing something else.
2. I went on a hawaiian cruise last november with NCL.
3. The Ocean center is really on the opposite side of the island, about 5 miles maybe. If you are on a cruise ship, they may have a tour, or catch a taxi.
