Is it normal for a fresh Maui Gold pineapple to sizzle in your mouth when eaten?

  1. Yes. Some Golden pineapples, when ripe, naturally create carbination, like it sodas. That sizzling is carbon dioxide being released from the juices in the fruit.

Some coconuts do the same. They are called Volcano Coconuts.

  2. Sounds like you're allergic.
  3. I don't know about pineapple, but if watermelon does that it means it's rotten.
  4. it's obviously unholy, say a pray for it and set it on fire, then burry it
  5. No, that's very unusual.
  6. well, speaking for many people on Oahu… no… pineapples don't sizzle… that would be ribs.
