we're planning for early May '07. Is this a good time to go there? where is the best spot in Maui to stay (close to shops and decent accomodation)

1. Any time of the year is good as the weather stays in the 80's most of the time. Stay at the Kaanapalli Resort, which is on the west side of Maui, and the beaches are excellent. You will be close to Whalers Village, which has shops and restaurants, and close to Lahaina Town, for more shopping and restaurants. Kaanapalli, has the Hyatt, the Marriot, the Sheridan, the Westin, and many more hotels. If you want a condo, on the ocean, try Papakea, or Paki Maui resorts. 2. I have not found a bad time to go to Maui. I like resort quest Kaanapli shores condos. That is my preference
