I want to be by the pool, ground level, also by the beach and have great weather, so no up country

1. I personally stayed at the Grand Wailea Resort and would very highly recommend it, though I must say, it's a little pricey. However, you cannot go wrong with any of the following either:

   Wailea Marriott
   Westin Maui
   Sheraton Maui
   Prince Hotel Makena
   Outrigger Maui ElDorado
   Hotel Hana

2. kaanapali beach is beautiful and has a foot path along the beach to a cute little village you can walk to shop, dinner. we stayed at the marriott but the westin looked nice too.
