Which Maui resort would you pick for your honeymoon and why?
- The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua Resort,
- Thank you for your time and advice!
- Napili Kai Beach Club. Low key, out of the way. They front a beach, and have a tunnel nearby to the Kapalua's beach too!
- Fairmont, Four Seasons or Ritz would be my choices, in that order.
- I"ve stayed at the Hyatt, but didn't like it. It was too expensive and far from the really great things Maui has to offer. I'd find some shack on Kauai and stay a little longer, hiking and doing the nasty in some lagoons and under waterfalls. The places you mentioned are all in a very tourist ridden area. If you like that kind of thing try anyone of them.
- Ritz I stayed there and had a great time very romantic and by the way you pick the perfect island
- Fairmont Kea Lani,
- U should probably go to Bubble Gump that is if u like sea food
- Four Seasons in Wailea, Maui,
- I worked @ Kapalua Bay Hotel 10 yrs. (right next to Ritz Carlton Kapalua, bartender) I opened the Westin Maui, bartender. I lived in Maui 16 years. If I could afford it I would go to 1. Fairmont Kea Lani (rooms start @ $515) 2. Four Season's $395 - $890, go to their websites. My next choice would be Ritz Carlton Kapalua 3 incredible golf courses & voted best beach in the world couple times, only 10 min drive to Kaanapali where the Westin Maui is wich would be my next choice. The Westin has a better beach (2 mi ) & right next to many great restraunts, Whaler's Village for shopping, Leilani's On The Beach,(a casual restraunt, great fish, same owners as Kapalua Grill & Bar, 1 mi from Ritz, I highly reccommend this restraunt on the 18th hole great ocean view, great food, they also own Kimo's restraunt on the water in Lahaina, also highly recommended, great fish, seafood, of r prime rib.)The Westin is medium priced but looks really nice, 7 pools great restraunts, pool slides on a great beach.
- I've stayed at all these resorts. For a honeymoon, I suggest the Four Seasons.
For me, the Ritz is too "while glove" but, you might like that kind of thing. The FS is luxurious while not being pretentious. The Hyatt, while a great resort, is to "busy" for a honeymoon. The Fairmont is a great generic hotel, but lacks personality, in my opinion. The Westin is past its prime.
I don't mean to speak ill of the other resorts, they are all really great places to stay. But, again, my favorite is the Four Seasons.
Congratulations, and Aloha.
- Lived in Maui, worked as a bartender 16 yrs. I don't know much about south Maui (Kihei) where Kea Lani & Four Seasons are, but I've been there but I lived in West Maui, between Westin & Ritz. Oh by the way…. Congratulations! Go to Hana, take a helicopter trip, go to the Old Lahaina Luau, & the aqarium in Maalaea.
