Which part of Maui is the best?
We have heard that it rains alot on the East side of Maui around Haiku and down to Hana, but we have found quite a few cottages in the area that we like. Does it rain alot on the east side of the island? Some of the places don't have A/C and say its not needed on that side. Is that true?
- Also, any suggestions for cottages/houses/B&B on Maui that are reasonably priced and away from the crowds?
- I personally think the best place on Maui to stay is up by lahina. (ka'anapali or kahana are good place up there) I think that would be the north…or west shore…im not sure im not good with directions but it is at the top of the island.
- we booked a cottage at wild ginger falls in haiku. we'll be there this Monday. it's west of the Kahului airport. it's about $120 a night. plus it has a seasonal waterfall. if you want to look it up here's the site. http://www.wildgingerfalls.com
