My husband and I are planning on relocating to Oahu.

1. It really depends on what area you are planning to live in. I guess like any big city, the closer you want to be to town, the more expensive it will be. I live about 26 miles away from Honolulu, but I have a very decent (2 bedroom/2 bath/ 2 parking) townhouse with a gated entry, and a beautiful swimming pool for $1150. For the price range your looking for, and if you want to be in town it will probably be a little run down OR you could get a studio if that's enough for the two of you.Honolulu Advertiser's Sunday issue is probably the best bet. Good Luck…FYI average gas prices here are about $3.50 /gallon.
