Can you tell me of a good area to stay in Oahu?
I'm looking for a nice area, not so far away from the beach, where parking wouldnt be a problem. I'd pay about $150 per night for 3 night in mid-August. I found out that finding parking is hard is Honolulu. So, what do you recommend? I would be ok staying in another section of the island, not necesarily Honlulu.
- You can rent yourself a cottage or cabin off North Shore right in front of the beach for that price, here's the website:
- Check out the Bed and Breakfast places in Kailua and elsewhere, as well.
- I used to live on the island. I always stay on the other side of the island close to kheoni bay (sp) I find it to be less crowded and better beaches.
- VRBO.com has some nice places that you can rent. My parents are visiting me in July, and they are staying in Haleiwa. Quiet area, not so many tourists and they walk out of their Lanai (deck) and they are on the beach. Plus it is in North Shore where all the big surf competitions are held. If you want to be a tourist and do a lot of sight seeing via tours and such then you should stay in Waikiki. The Ohana hotel chains are nice and around your price range. But if you want to get off the beaten path and not worry about tourists then I suggest the North Shore.
- TURTLE BAY WOULD BE DA PERFECT HOTEL. IT'S BETWEEN SUNSET AND KAHUKU AKA NORTH SHORE. IM NOT 2 SURE BOUT DA PRICE ON ROOMS, BUT IT IS BEAUTIFUL CHOKE (ALOT) PARKING N MINS AWAY FROM ALL DA FAMUS BEACHES ON DA NORTH SHORE STRATING WIT KAWELA BAY, V-LAND, BACK DOORS, EHUKAI, DA 1 N ONLY PIPE LINE, SHARKS COVE, WAIMEA BAY. ALOT OF DA LOCAL PEOPLE RENT OUT ROOMS IN DA NORTH SHORE SO IF U NO LIKE STAY IN 1 HOTEL MAY BE U GO CHECKUM OUT. HAVE LOTS OF FUN N I KNOW U WILL. CUZ DAS WERR IM FROM. WOO HOO RAISED DA ROOF! LOL!!
LIVE ALOHA!!
- Check out "www.tripadvidsor.com" and just READ through the comments written by people who have stayed at the various hotels. There are ALOT of great candid pictures too. After spending MONTHS researching, we've decided on the "ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel"
Good Luck !!!
