LIST FoR THINGS U NEED FOR OAHU?
I'm going to Oahu this summer with 3 kids, two girls and 1 boy (12) oldest (daughter), (9) middle (son), (5) youngest (daughter). I need to know the things we'll need at our trip. Sunblock. towels, number of swimsuits ECT. Pease give me all u can think of!!!
- sweet I live in oahu. all u need is sunscreen, towels for each person, clothes for each day, and money since your a tourist. you also might wanna bring boogie board/fins, but they have some here for rent. and bring a camera if your going sight seein. the weathers nice right now, so no need umbrella or anything.
- my brain
- Sunscreen (several bottles), Bug repellant, Camomile lotion, Beach toys (bucket for sand castle, mini-football, float toys).
Beach totes, Big towels, Hats, swimsuits (extras if you have them so that don't have to put on wet swimsuits), flip-flops, sun-glasses - Pack everything you'd normally take on any trip, and just add sunblock, sunglasses, bathing suits and flip flops ….. and don't forget me!!!
TAKE ME WITH YOU!!! ;O)
Have a fun trip, you lucky person you …… - I've been to Oahu and Maui…I stayed in Waikiki beach, great, excellent place…first thing to do, go to Hanauma Bay, snorkling, drive around the island, go shopping, and beach, Pearl Harbor, of course, and watch Luhuau
- Don't bother with the towels, buy new ones when you get there- something with "Hawai'I" on it. Buy sunblock when you get there, it would totally suck to have that open on the way because of the cabin pressure in the plane. However, if you must bring it, then put it in a zipper baggie. Pack like you'd pack normally, there is great shopping at Aloha Stadium Swapmeet on Wed, Sat, and Sun (Wednesday is best because not so many tourists!)
My best advice is to have everyone have a backpack to carry their own stuff (or you could wind up playing the pack mule!) and water bottle and good thick soled sandals. You'll be walking alot, sneakers get stinky fast! Water shoes are really good to keep handy.
Granola bars for snacks (holds you over longer) and buy a MAP of the area; ~worth YOUR WEIGHT in gold! Honolulu (should that be where you are going) is not set up traditionally like other cities (although has ALL the typical amenities)
Listen for jellyfish warnings, many tourists do not heed the warning and spend time in the hospital they could be spending vacationing! Do be curteous, and do not litter, do say ALOHA! and Mahalo (muh-ha-low) means thank you.
