We are planning a Christmas and New Years trip. I assume it is windy on the eastern shore, hence the name windward shore. We are looking for a nice beach that is not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. Would you suggest Kailua Beach? How is the weather there in December? Windy? I have heard of these Portugese jellyfish there also, is this something to be concened about?

1. You sound really cute… maye I can go to Hawii w/ you and protect you from the wind and jellyfish.
2. It's called Windward because it faces into the trade winds. The jellyfish come out approximately 9 days after a full moon. Whether in Hawaii is great year 'round. Kailua beach is nice. More relaxed than Waikiki. But there will still be others around. It's also a great location for wind surfing and kite surfing.
