When I go to Oahu next week are there some cool things to do or hang out at that aren't touristy?
- Live on Oahu.. If your coming here there is lots to do as a tourist.. If your staying in Waikiki.. your first day you could relax @ the beach by your hotel. 2nd day if its a Wednesday or the weekend you could check out the Flea Market around the Aloha Stadium ( I love going there getting fresh cut up cold fruit like papaya, mangos, apples, coconut) The evening time if your of age on Fridays 18+ you could go to"Pipeline Cafe" Its a night club.. Saturday nights Zanzabars, Moose Mcgully Cuddy, Oceans are cool places to hang out at if your into the club scene.. during the day time on your 3rd day you could go to the Dole Plantation they have a Maze, a train that takes you around the pineapple fields (20 mins) and a store with pineapple cakes, ice cream, etc. (I like going to see the coi fish in the pond they have there.. bring lots of quarters $ .50 gets you a small handful of fish food) your 4th day you feel like relaxin enjoy what the hotel has to offer.. pool?.. Or you could go to Hanama Bay be prepared that place is always packed you could go snorkeling there its a nice place.. sometimes you encounter the turtles.. but you cant touch them or get close.. they are protected by the state. 5th day you could go to Pali Pali look out its on top of a mountain its beautiful.. If you go through the H-3 tunnel from waikiki you will be amazed once you come out (driving) the scene is just amazing I love it. One of the those days you could go see a Luau @ the polynesian center or go to Jermaines Luau. You could do lots here! They have a Hilo Hattie store in Honolulu where you could buy Aloha wear. I love the aloha towers market place its a cool place to hang in evening time the restraunts. There is also a water park here its in Kapolei area, a Sea Life Park, the Honolulu Zoo, and Aquarium here as well.. I'm trying to think of other places.. There Diamond Head you could hike up there its a historical place. Pearl Harbor as well is an educational place to go. I hope I helped you out!!
- Go to the Makapuu Research pier early in the morning and put on a snorkel and mask. There is a large shark there to see. OH and while you are there never ever leave your valuables in the trunk of your car… they are not safe from thieves there!

Polynesian Cultural Center
Society of Seven (nightclub)
Paradise Cruises Whale Watching
Hawaii Shark Excursions - well they may be touristy but don't miss diamond head take the hike up to the top & get out to the pearl harbor memorial it is very moving. the waikiki strip is great and you'll love the north shore if you can get up there, many people go to honolulu and never get up to the north shore it's pretty awesome, not quite as good as maui but it is worth the car rental and short drive, if you have time check out makaha too.
- well not too toursity hmm…… well im a local so idk go beach watch the sunrise or sunset go to tantlus but watch out ok umm take a hike @ makapuu or diamond head water park go shopping @ ala moana its simple basic but I promise you'll enjoy it have fun!
- I live here!
- View da sunset wid your sweetie, go beach, swim!! Hang out wid the brahs!!
- Hike Tantalus. It's tough but the view is incredible! Drive to the "other side" of the island (opposite Waikiki). It's beautiful and you will find some great restaurants. Check out diamond head. It's a little touristy but it's history is great! Also- one or two day visits to other islands are usually affordable. (About 100$ for plane and rental car.) If you do that…Maui is the least inhabited island and has many cool snorkel spots. Maui also has Lanai (small town) with cool shops and eateries. You can also hike the tallest peaks on Maui.
HAVE FUN!!! HAWAII IS GREAT!
- Go shopping at Ala Moana Center. You'll love it.
