Where's a good place to stay in Oahu, Hawaii for a single female traveler from Australia (that's not a hostel)

(I don't want to look like a social pariah!!)

Hilton Hawaiian Village, or if you are on a budget, Gigis Paradise.
If you're on a budget, Castle Ocean Resort. It's close and convenient to everything and it's very economical and clean.

My favorite hotel, the Pacific Beach Hotel! It is a nice hotel for singles, couples, or families. It is a very pleasant hotel and right on the "main drag" so to speak!
Stay in the Oceanarium Tower at least the 12th floor on up and get the Diamond Head view!
There is parking there (I think $12.00 a day), and tour buses stop there.

All have great access to beaches along Waikiki and are decent hotels.

If on a budget try Waikiki Sand Villa, or the Ohana chain,
If you are looking to meet people for a night out go to Dukes around 6pm and there will most likely be some single guys there looking to take you out.
