83-624 Farrington Waeinae Hawaii

1. Waeinae is not a "bad side" of Oahu, but it is an area known for gang violence and a high crime rate. Certain people are not generally welcome there. I will not go because I am afraid. Farrington Hwy. is also a busy thoroughfare not suited to walkers and cyclists. The beaches in Waeinae (Electric Beach, etc.) are "home" to many homeless/squatter/hobo-types. The guy from Nanakuli should know since Waeinae and Nanakuli are neighbors. Please be careful.

3. well first of all in hawaii you dont really want to be walking around somewhere you not familiar with ESPECIALLY if you a tourist at night, except if its a touristy place for example waikiki because waikiki and tourist besides themselves are the only thing the city gives a **** about. Thank god for Linda Lingle, but anyways Waianae has Hawaiian homes which is a fund started way back in the day like right before Hawaii was annexed and it gives people with 50% hawaiian or more free housing. There for Waianae has a lot of hawaiians, hawaiians in generally are pretty friendly there are some assholes here and there, but other then that it aint that bad. waianae in general is not that much of a bad place, tourist and people unfamilar with the really bad places on the island will often mistake places like Waianae and Waimanalo for being the ghetto probobly because there is a lot of hawaiians there. Anyways long story short, dont walk around anywhere at night you are unfamilar with here especially in neighborhoods and residential areas unless you are familar with it or have people with you or its a touristy place.
4. If you arent local yes for you it depends I feel safe in waianae im from nanakuli so im going in out there all the time dont sleeping your car ok
