Hawaii? What Island should I go to (besides Oahu)?

I've been to Oahu and would like to go back but try something new. I like a little bit of a city and things to do.. Not just lay around the beach.. Any suggestions? I was thinking Hilo?

Which island would you rather visit, Kauai or Big Island?

we have a choice between spending a day on kauai or on the big island of hawaii. Which would you pick and why?
