I am going to honolulu soon, for about 10 days. I know it is very touristy but my biggest interest is the nature. I have heard that the island of Kauai is great for this, but am I going to be able to get some great nature experiences when I go to Oahu? I plan on finding some hiking trails or tours, and try to experience the truest sense of Hawaii even though I am going to be the farthest from it!

Could someone please direct me to a website that tells me a little bit / or a lot~ of the state of Hawaii like the weather year round , types of jobs that they have to offer, what are they well known for (other than taking people's money for their honeymoons) how much gas is, how much would property cost out their , or let alone a car. Things of that nature, that would be really helpful.
