Good family friendly place in oahu?

I'd like to know if anybody know any good family feiendly place in oahu. wesually go to waikiki for bit of ocean and shopping. but its abit too touristy, pricy and noisy since we got a baby. hopefully not too far from airport, decent hotel, and nice brach. please let me know. thx

Anyone from Hawaii know the Poomahalani Family? Any info would be greatly appreciated.?

I home this is spelled correctly. Met them in IL. There were 4 girls and 1 boy. Noi, Debbie, Amy, Krissy and Matt. The father past away around 1981-82. In 1932-84 the mom moved the family back to Hawaii. I understand that Amy may have commited suicide in her late teens/early 20's.
